Maverick - his story

Maverick's journey almost ended before he was saved. 

Left abandoned and neglected, he was only found by chance. A situation no animal should ever experience.

Freedom Ranch was contacted for an urgent request - we stepped in and helped save an unnamed donkey - he was fearful and near death.

When Freedom Ranch was called to scope out his then current state, it was an ominous situation... we were there to save a life.

A mule stood off in the far end of a bare pasture with no water or hay - with his head down, skin and bones.

He started pacing the fenceline, barely able to lift his legs.

Freedom Ranch took Maverick in and not only saved him but allowed him to be free - free to process his trauma, free from pain and suffering.

Today, Maverick shines and a comeback story of how love, dedication, and hard work can save animals in need!

Our dear friends at Tar Banks Brewing Co. learned of Maverick's story and worked closely with Freedom Ranch to do something even more special - a way to celebrate Maverick and the other animals we save and care for everyday.

Maverick's Afterburner was created - celebrating his journey and the push to save his life!

Maverick's story serves as a reminder of the importance of kindness and dedication in helping animals in need.
